Celebrating Failure

1)     If there was one thing I failed at this semester it was definitely the cupcakes in this class. At the beginning of the class I got the first two cupcakes completely right and then said to myself, hey you don’t have to watch the lectures anymore. Obviously in a result the next three weeks after that I failed miserably on those cupcakes. I kept on saying to myself hey at least you got one right. After my third time, I started watching the lecture videos again so my grade wouldn’t suffer any more. 2)     If there was one thing I learned it’s that when a professor puts up lecture videos, it’s for a reason. You figure I should know this because I’m a senior and this is my second to last semester and I should know better by now. The truth is a got lazy and valued fantasy football more than I did this class. Overall the lesson I learned is take advantage of the tools that are given to you so that you can be successful. 3) ...

Whats Next?

For the existing market, I talked to two people that currently have their own spaces at their apartment and one person that did not. For the two that have their own spot they agreed with my venture concept and even brought up points that I did not think of. She did however say that it would be cool if there was a security guard on hand at night. Her idea was that I could have a security guard there for girls who want to be walked home by someone late at night. Overall I learned a lot from these three people and are looking up ways to implement their ideas.             For the new ...

Venture Concept No.1

Opportunity:             There is an undeniable need for an expansion of parking in certain areas in Gainesville, Fl. Having lived here for the past three and a half years and have personally went through the struggles of street parking, I can confidently say that there is an opportunity that can be take advantage of. The issue of not having enough parking can easily be solved, the solution is to put parking lots in areas that are over populated. Almost half of the population of Gainesville are students, and most students tend to live near campus. The problem is when students sign a lease for an apartment they are only given one parking spot. Therefore, if four students sign a lease together then three people have to resort to street parking. Furthermore, Gainesville is not the only college town that has this issue. Further research would prove that other college towns are in need of parking lots as well. Currently there is onl...
